Dance ceremony with musical accompaniment from Greg Herriges.
Sunday, November 1, 3:00 – 6:00 (Note clocks set back one hour on this day)
Spring Lake Park Reserve, Schaar’s bluff picnic grounds (30 min. south of the Cities).
On a beautiful bluff overlooking the Mississippi River we dance in honor of All Souls’ Day. Through dance ceremony we will invoke our ancestors. We will dance to honor all who’ve preceded us with gratitude, love, and respect. We will dance to grieve, heal, and transform the wounds we have inherited. Through dance we will embody a blueprint for tending our debts and obligations to Mother Earth and to black, brown, indigenous, and immigrant communities. We dance to radiate joy and right relationship into our world and into our future. Let us dance deeply into this important multi-layered work on this auspicious night when the veil between the worlds are thin. The ancestors are so close, ready to join and support us!
There will be no running water. Portable toilets will be available.
The All Souls’ Day Dance is open to anyone who has participated in the 2019 Ancestral Love Retreat or 2020 Ancestral Love on-line workshop.
